The Office for Design and Architecture South Australia (ODASA) is seeking applications from all segments of the design industry to be a part of the South Australian Design Review Panel.

Initiated in 2011, ODASA’s Design Review program supports the Government Architect in giving independent design advice to the State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP), regarding all facets of best practice urban design and the Principles of Good Design. Since the inception of the project, the Design Review Panel has conducted 474 design reviews of more than 216 significant projects in South Australia, with a complete value of $8.4 billion.

Design professionals, especially representing urban design, medium density residential design, sustainable development, education, landscape architecture, infrastructure and heritage sectors, who are enthusiastic regarding good design, have firm, clear and confidence-enforced communication skills and have accrued experience in the review of important building projects, are welcome to apply.

New members will be chosen to complement the skills represented on the panel and develop a broader spectrum of expert knowledge.

Those applicants accepted will be invited to join a member of the Design Review Panel for an initial term ending 30 June 2023 (with an option to extend) and would be present at about 5-10 half-day sessions annually.

To support good design in South Australia, apply at the tenders.sa.gov.au website on or before Tuesday 6th April 2021.
