In preparation for the NT’s adoption of Section J Energy Efficiency provisions from the National Construction Code (NCC) Volume One (2019) for new commercial buildings in the NT, the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) is delivering a series of webinars on Energy Efficiency.

These webinars are free and open to anyone involved in commercial building work in the NT, not just Certifiers and Building Surveyors. Participation is encouraged by anyone seeking more information about complying with Section J of Volume One (NCC 2019) in the NT.

The webinars will provide participants with foundational knowledge, including understanding energy efficiency principals for commercial buildings, compliance mechanisms, performance solutions and contemporary performance requirements.

The series of 4 webinars will be delivered by 2 interstate based practitioners with extensive experience implementing Section J requirements: an ESD Consultant and Building Surveyor. Each 1 hour webinar will include an opportunity for Q&A.

The first AIBS webinar is on 15 August 2023 at 12:30pm. For more information and to register, go to the AIBS website: Energy Efficiency for Commercial Buildings Based on First Principals | Northern Territory Webinar (aibs.com.au)
