In this session, Farzan Naghshineh from AWS takes you through the realities of designing a sustainable residential project.
This is a practical session highlighting the Orosi South Cronulla project as a case study. Farzan will be joined by the Developer, Hamid Samavi, CEO of OROSI.
Together they will talk through the process they underwent, working with the consulting engineering service, a BASIX consultant, and AWS on how they could implement the recommendations provided by UNSW regarding sustainability in a practical way.
It will review the barriers, challenges and competing priorities between academic recommendations and practical solutions.
It’s an excellent demonstration on the collaboration involved to bring together a vision for luxury, zero energy medium density building apartments, that maximised views, natural light and sustainability.
