The Building Designers Association of Australia is thrilled to announce the debut of BDAA Constructive Concepts; fun, free and informative webinars that pack a lot of useful information in dynamic and concise 30-minute sessions.
Our introductory ‘constructive chat,’ The Power of Biophilia, will be presented live on 4th August at 11am. This very special Constructive Concepts session will be conducted by Matilde Martin, a noted designer and environmentalist.
Date: 4th August 2021
Time: 11am AEST
Biophilia is a well researched theory relating to the human relationship with living things. We know it has beneficial results in regards to healing and human health, but what else can it do? In this talk, Matilde Martin explores Biophilia and its relationship with stress, mental fatigue and environmentally sustainable behaviour, its importance and how we might utilise it in design. With a dream to save the world, Matilde Martin has a degree in Interior Architecture and a passion for the environment and sustainable practices. She has a deep interest in human behaviour and environmental responsibility and believes that the built environment offers an incredible opportunity to make a difference.
Please enjoy this and other episodes in the exciting new BDAA Constructive Concepts series; all are fun, free, and stand to contribute much to our ongoing dialogue about the changing nature of the Australian built environment.
