The NSW government is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. In collaboration with the Co-operative Research Centre for Low Carbon Living, the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council and the CSIRO, the Department has invested in research to understand how to create a market for sustainable housing across NSW and Australia. Sustainable homes require less energy to heat and cool, enhance occupant comfort and are more resilient to climate and weather extremes. View the roadmap here.
Industry is applying this research through a new reality TV show, “Renovate or Rebuild”, designed to make sustainable housing mainstream. You and your organisation can also be a part of these efforts to change the way we talk about sustainability.
The CSIRO is hosting a webinar on 2 September 2021. In this, you will hear the latest on how to create demand for sustainable housing. For more information and registration click the link below to find out more.
