The newly released roadmap to reopening NSW gives a clearer idea of what life will look like after lockdown and offers relief to help businesses recover.

Financial support for businesses

Is your business still eligible for financial assistance?

The COVID-19 Micro-business grant and JobSaver payment have been extended.

With some industries and regions beginning to emerge from restrictions, we’re asking businesses to reconfirm eligibility every fortnight.

Businesses currently receiving the Micro-business payment will receive an email next week asking them to confirm they’re still eligible for financial support.

You will not need to provide any additional evidence or attach any documentation when reconfirming your eligibility. However, please maintain adequate records to show evidence of your eligibility if required.

Please be assured that September payments will continue even if you don’t confirm eligibility, however payments scheduled for October may be affected.

JobSaver recipients can reconfirm eligibility now. Micro-business grant reconfirmation opens on Monday 20 September.

Check if the COVID-19 Safety plan for your industry has been updated

If your business is included in these industries, you’ll need to update your COVID-19 Safety Plan. You’ll need to keep a copy of it at your place of business and show it if asked to by an authorised person.

$320 payment available for staff who need to self-isolate

If your employees need to self-isolate and are unable to work while waiting for their test result, or are caring for someone waiting for their test result, they may be eligible for a $320 support payment.

To receive the payment, employees must be unable to work from home, and not receiving income, financial support or paid leave.

What to do if a COVID-19 case is linked to your business

Having a COVID-19 case associated with your business can be stressful. There is help available to get your business back up and operating in a COVID safe way.
