2023 National Design Excellence Award Winner
The Overall Design Winner in this year’s BDAA National Design Awards is Andrea Basini, whose Ultimo House claimed the top prize and other honours in the 2023 competition.
Ultimo House, designed by Andrea Basini of anbdesign, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Iwan Iwanoff and redefines the boundaries of Modernism and Brutalism in Perth.
With over four decades of industry experience, Andrea Basini brings a wealth of expertise to this project. The design ethos of Ultimo House is characterised by purity of form and honesty of material, resonating with clients seeking originality in their designs.
This project is a love letter to Brutalism, celebrating bold and striking design elements that pay homage to Iwanoff while blending tradition with contemporary aesthetics.
