The Urban Developer is planning to kick off the year 2020 with an exciting outlook series; a live briefing seminar regarding the economic, political and market factors set to influence the property industry in the new year. This series, planned with the cooperation of supporter partner Lovelight, will take place Thursday, Feb. 20, in Brisbane, Friday, Feb. 21, in Melbourne, and Friday, Feb. 28, in Sydney.
This event will feature the views of the nation’s leading economists, as well as experts representing the residential and commercial property sector.
The outlook series is designed to supply those who attend with the context and insights needed to make informed property decisions in 2020.
All seminars will begin at 8 a.m. with a registration and networking session. Then at 8:30 a.m., The Big Picture: Global economic forces and the impact on Australia in 2020 will be presented; in Sydney by Scott Haslem, Chief Investment Officer, Crestone Wealth Management, and in Melbourne and Brisbane by Sarah Hunter, Head of Macroeconomics and BIS Oxford Economics.
Then at 8:50 a.m., Institutional Intensity in Australian Real Estate: An overview of the commercial, retail and industrial sector in 2020 will be presented by Brian Haratsis, executive chairman of Macroplan.
Residential Recovery or Recession?
Insights into the state of the residential property market in 2020 will take place at 9:10 a.m., as presented by Michelle Ciesielski, Partner and Head of Residential Research – Australia Knight Frank.
A panel discussion will follow at 9:30 a.m., moderated by Adam Di Marco, The Urban Developer. A networking session at 10 a.m. will complete the day’s program, during which guests will be invited to network with speakers and other attendees.
