This month, Kirstie speaks with Mike Hayden
Mike Haydon is the founder and director of Off Grid Shop, one of Australia's leading suppliers of renewable energy systems, specialising in solar PV, battery storage and off-grid power solutions. With extensive experience in the design, specification and installation of solar energy systems across a wide range of residential and commercial projects, Mike has helped thousands of Australians reduce their reliance on traditional energy networks and improve energy resilience. As well as a being advocate for solar Mike has been a great educator, sharing his knowledge and experience.
Known for his practical, evidence-based approach, Mike works closely with homeowners, builders, architects and building designers to integrate effective renewable energy solutions into high-performance buildings. His expertise spans grid-connected solar systems, battery storage, off-grid design, energy management and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector.
Mike will discuss the key considerations for incorporating solar PV systems into building design, including system sizing, battery integration, regulatory requirements and strategies for optimising building performance and energy efficiency.
